Sunday Jan 16, 2022 7-10 pm 801 New Hampshire Street Lawrence On June 12, District 2 Members sold books and read at the Open Air Art Market hosted by Art Emergency in Lawrence. Members will be there every second Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm. Please contact Curtis if you would like to be on the open mic list and/or if you would like to sell books. D2 Members Maureen Carroll, Kerry Moyer, Kevin Rabas, Curtis Becker, and Perry Shepard Today we sent out a list (via D2 email) of those who have volunteered to serve on the convention committee in preparation for our turn to host the state convention in October of 2022. We plan to meet by Zoom initially, so that nobody has to commit to driving long distances to be a part of this. If you would like to join us, please let Curtis know. Thanks!
District 2 has paid for a permanent table space at the Open Air Market at Art Emergency in Lawrence. Perry, Ronda, and Curtis checked it out today. There will be an opportunity to sell books and/or read at an open mic. If you would be interested in selling and/or reading or for more information, please contact Perry or Curtis. The event takes place in Lawrence on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00-2:00.
D2 Monthly Meetings will be moving to the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 am starting in June. This is to give members a chance to participate in selling books and reading at the Art Emergency in Lawrence which happens on the second Saturday. This was voted on and passed unanimously at today's meeting (5/8/21).

On December 17, the third and last volume of Mark Wentling’s three-volume book, Africa Memoir, was published.
Topeka Based Kellogg Press will host a LIVE, virtual reading on December 4 at 4:00 pm CST featuring District 2 Members Kerry Moyer, Curtis Becker, Kevin Rabas, and Ronda Miller. The reading will be broadcast on facebook.com/kelloggpress. An archive of the event will be available shortly after the LIVE stream ends.
